With forty patients admitted to intensive care out of a total of 156 patients followed in its hospitals, it is the Loire-Atlantique which displays, this Tuesday, December 28, the highest figures of the whole region. The department is certainly the most populous of Pays-de-la-Loire, its incidence rate, a parameter which is not linked to the demographic weight, is indeed also the highest: 539 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants, according to the Regional Health Agency.
Incidence rate on the rise everywhere
The other Loire departments unfortunately follow the same trend, clearly on the rise, according to the latest data provided by the ARS: in Sarthe for example, in one week we went from 289 to 443 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants. In Maine-et-Loire, while there were 370 on December 21, we have now reached 400 cases. As for the Mayenne incidence rate, it climbed, at the same time, from 274 to 353.
257 recoveries after Covid-19
Serious forms of the disease continue to fuel obituaries since in seven days, a total of 46 patients succumbed to Covid-19 throughout the Pays-de-la-Loire: three additional deaths recorded in Vendée, six in Mayenne, seven in Sarthe, fourteen in Loire-Atlantique, sixteen in Maine-et-Loire. During the same period, however, it should be noted that 257 people were able to leave the hospitals in our departments, cured.
