Labuan Bajo, Ekorantt.com – Secretary of the West Manggarai District Health Service, Adrianus Ojo, revealed data on dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) cases.
According to Adrianus, starting from January 2023 until now, the number of dengue fever cases in West Manggarai Regency is 456 cases.
Of that number, he explained, 431 people had been declared cured. Meanwhile, there are 25 people who are still in the treatment process.
“The 25 people were treated in a number of places. 16 people at Komodo Hospital, five people at St. Yosep Golo Koe, three people at Siloam House, and one person at Terang Community Health Center,” explained Adrianus, Friday, December 15 2023, quoted by manggaraibaratkab.go.id.
To anticipate the increasing number of cases, said Adrianus, in the next few days, the Health Service will promote a house-to-house fogging or fumigation program, to eradicate mosquitoes, especially carriers (vectors) of dengue fever.
Regent Issues Appeal
Regarding the dengue fever case that broke out in West Manggarai, Regent Edistasius Endi then issued an appeal to all people in West Manggarai.

Second, eradicate mosquito nests using the 3 M Plus method, namely draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs, recycling or getting rid of used goods, such as cans, used tires, coconut shells, used bottles, and so on. and protect yourself from mosquito bites by using mosquito repellent or using a mosquito net.
Third, don’t hang clothes in the house where mosquitoes rest.
Fourth, if a family member is sick and shows symptoms of dengue fever, immediately seek treatment at the nearest health facility.
Adrianus Ojo also invited all the people of West Manggarai to obey the appeal of the Regent of West Manggarai
“So that you don’t become a victim of dengue fever attacks,” said Adrianus.
