Gómez Palacio, Durango (OEM).- The head of the Sanitary Jurisdiction II of Gómez Palacio, Luis Fernando Olvera Martínez, announced that a shipment of 450 doses of the Abdala vaccine recently arrived, which were as a remnant in the capital of the state and will be applied to those who request it in the Lagunera Region.
The health official explained that this is a shipment that has not been made by the Federal Government itself, but rather that it is a remnant that was available and will be used to the maximum so that they do not expire and spoil.
“It is really little, it is to cover all the vaccination systems, to have all the vaccine that our health system offers as such, we did not have a Covid vaccine, we have just received this consignment of approximately 450 doses, it is to cover those patients that require the vaccine as such,” he said.
He explained that it is a surplus, “we have to check throughout the state that the vaccine is not going to expire, and in places where there is a surplus of vaccine it is concentrated and distributed to the places where they ask for it or where there is a greater quantity of doses applied,” he added.
He said that they will be distributed in the five operational areas, “to have it in everything that is the Laguna region, we divide them into the 5 operational areas, and a consignment is given to each one obviously depending on the size of the population of each of them. the areas,” he reiterated.
He explained that the largest amount is distributed in the municipalities of Lerdo and Gómez Palacio, in question, regarding the influenza vaccination, which will be concluding this coming March.
“We still have relatively one month left, we have already reached the limit of the doses that was our goal, which was 43 thousand doses, 2 thousand more biologicals were sent to us, so a surplus of more than 100 percent of vaccination against influenza,” he explained.
