On Christmas Day, 4,260 new corona cases were reported in Austria.
While a violent flu wave is currently sweeping Austria, the corona numbers remain at a stable level. After 4,606 new infections on Friday and 4,853 new cases on Christmas Eve, 4,260 new infections were recorded on December 25.

1,165 corona patients currently need to be treated in hospitals. 63 people need intensive care.
Ten deaths related to SARS-CoV-2 have been added. A total of 21,370 people have died since the start of the pandemic.
