At 42, Gianluigi Buffon has another season at Juventus. A long-time companion of the goalkeeper also extended his contract on Monday.

The Italian champions and league leaders announced the extension of the contract with goalkeeper on Monday Gigi Buffon just like the one with the 35-year-old defender Giorgio Chiellini known until June 30, 2021.
“There are players who don’t need an introduction. Champions whose history speaks for itself and whose connection to the jersey they wear is inseparable, ”wrote Juve.
Buffon moved to Turin in July 2001 after seven years at Parma and played there until summer 2018. For one year the world champion keeper moved to France in 2006 to Paris Saint-Germain before Buffon returned to Juve and mostly since then acts as number two behind Wojciech Szczesny. Next year it will be 20 years since he first hired to the Piedmontese. After listing a few superlatives, the club wrote about him: “Super Gigi is the actual proof that age is only a number.”
