According to Opinet, the Korea National Oil Corporation’s oil price information system, the average selling price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the second week of December was 1,568.9 won per liter, down from 42 .2 won from the previous week, down for the 14th consecutive week.
The average selling price of diesel was also reduced by 48.6 won in one week to 1,797.2 won per liter, dropping for the fourth consecutive week.
The Korea Petroleum Association explained that oil prices will continue to fall next week, but prices could rise with a two to three week lag depending on the rebound in international petroleum product prices.
