Darmstadt (ots) – A 41-year-old man residing in Darmstadt freaked out in the pedestrian zone on Wednesday afternoon (November 18). Now the police are investigating, among other things, assault and resistance against law enforcement officers. Shortly after 5 p.m., the man on Wilhelminenstrasse had been noticed because he was not wearing the prescribed mouth and nose covering. During his subsequent check-up, the 41-year-old was increasingly aggressive and refused to be repeatedly asked to wear face protection. The control culminated in his arrest, against which he fought vehemently with kicks and spitting. He hit a police officer in the face and on the jacket. The madman was brought to the guard. The complaint was filed there. Now he will have to answer criminally in several proceedings.
