41 donors at the blood drive on Tuesday January 17, 2023 in Châtenoy le Royal.

For this first collection of the year, 60 open slots, 41 donors collected including a new donor.

Despite calls for blood donations from the EFS, including in television advertisements, finding and recruiting new donors remains a major concern for the associations. 60 open slots and only 41 donors for this first collection of the year.

A little coffee is always welcome before starting the collection, that’s also the spirit of the friendly.

If each donor brought a few people, like the gendarmes of the highway peloton, the open slots would fill up without difficulty. The gendarmes came to four and among them Léa.

Léa, 24, joined the motorway gendarmerie company of the Chalon sur Saône platoon on December 5, 2022 and this Tuesday was her first donation. Originally from Toulouse, the young woman wanted to change jobs and did a retraining through the Rochefort gendarmerie school. At the end of her training, the school directed her to the gendarmerie section of the motorway platoon of Chalon sur Saône. She made her first donation without any problems and she is ready to continue.

Like the other donors, she was able to taste the waffles made and offered for snacks by the volunteers of the friendly.

At this first collection, 41 donors were collected.

Next collection on Monday, March 27, 2023 Maurice Ravel room in Châtenoy le Royal.
