4:1 is the final result of the cup final in Bern. In the end, Lugano beats St. Gallen quite clearly. The Ticino played convincingly in the final and thanks to set pieces and counterattacks they are the cup winners this season.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, both teams will be greeted by an atmosphere worthy of the final. Lugano took this mood right into the starting phase and looked for an early lead: after four minutes, Celar headed a Ziegler corner. St. Gallen got into the game better in the course of the first half and also equalized after a set piece in the 21st minute. Maglica is the name of the goal scorer. The same is also responsible for the 2:1 in Lugano. It’s the FCSG defender who doesn’t just knock the ball away like it should. Custodio closes after a short confusion from the shortest distance to 2: 1 just before the break.
In the second half, Lugano decided the game entirely for themselves. With a convincing switching game, the Luganesi scored through Bottani in the 58th minute to make it 3-1 and eleven minutes later Joker Haile-Selassie stabbed. Lugano thus secured the cup victory for the first time since 1993.

Players are cared for again after a collision.
—
Almost the 5:1. Two against the goalie. But somehow Lugano doesn’t manage to take care of the ball.
—
Quintillà comes again to a direct free kick from 20 meters. But even this attempt goes a little overboard. Saipi hesitates for a while afterwards. The Lugano players are already celebrating on the bench.
—
Last regular minute. Lugano becomes cup winner.
—
St. Gallen is still trying. But the ideas are missing. This is followed by frustrating tackles rather than creative moves.
—
Hajrizi replaces Daprelà at Lugano. This must be maintained on the sidelines.
—
Lugano is now often in reverse. But that doesn’t hurt the people of Ticino. They defend solidly so far and occasionally try to counterattack.
—
Lungoyi shoots at his ex-club’s goal for the first time. But the attempt is too weak.
—
Lungoyi and Besio replace Guillemenot and Ruiz at FSCG.
—
Bottani leaves the field to thunderous applause. Amoura replaces him.
—
St. Gallen finds its way into the penalty area but is too aggressive. Toma even gets a yellow card for an offensive foul.
—
You might think that St. Gallen are now pushing for a goal. But it is Lugano who want to keep the ball in their own ranks and even keep attacking. Ziegler finds Haile-Selassie with a pass. But this does not find his second goal.
—
It is a Herculean task to somehow catch up on the three-goal deficit. Lugano is already one and a half feet in the Europa League.
—
Maglica picks up another tactical yellow. then: triple change at St. Gallen.
Toma, Schubert and Fazliji come in for von Moos, Maglica and Sutter.
—
The joker stings!!!! 4: 1 for Lugano. Haile-Selassie runs away from St. Gallen and slides in for a pretty sure winning goal.
—
Bitter. St. Gallen has a huge chance. A sharp cross lands on the foot of the young von Moos. If the ball bounces off his foot, it’s a goal. But the bullet takes the opposite path.
—
Dan is off Custodio’s day. A successful day for him. Haile-Selassie takes over for him.
—
Custodio almost the 4:1. Of course, St. Gallen has to attack and offers the Luganesi space to counter. These do it well. Custodio closes and Watkowiak parries. Good chance for him.
—
Quintillà circles the free kick elegantly over the wall. The network twitches. The ball is on the net, not in it.
