Wuyang Honda Motors recently launched the Honda U-be electric scooter, a single-seater designed for short sprints in the city. A radical design change that may not be easily accepted. But the look is nice.
The Honda U-be
It looks just like a standard electric scooter, but at the rear the passenger section has been completely cut out. This leaves the rear wheels protruding. The basic idea is to reduce the overall weight of the scooter, so that it can get more miles out of the battery.
Honda U-be features a large platform, which can be used to carry a wide variety of heavy items such as groceries, luggage, etc. The scooter has a comfortable upright riding position. With the ample foot space, users can expect optimum comfort and easy assembly and disassembly. Other key features include anti-theft key lock and USB port.
The scooter is equipped with an elegant digital instrument console that displays a variety of information such as speed, odometer, mileage, voltage and battery status. Color options for U-be include white, gray, red, and blue.
The features of the Honda U-be
Three battery packs provided by Honda: 48V-15Ah, 48V-20Ah and 48V-24Ah. The respective mileage for these battery packs is 55km, 70km and 85km. The scooter uses a high efficiency motor with low noise and energy consumption.
To ensure rider safety, the Honda U-Be is equipped with a combination of disc and drum brakes on both wheels, depending on the variant. Suspension tasks on the electric scooter are performed by telescopic forks on the front and a pair of preload-adjustable shock absorbers at the rear.
Honda U-be can easily withstand slopes up to 12 degrees. At 54 kg, the Honda U-be will be fairly easy to maneuver. The only concern some users may have is that this scooter has a top speed of 25km / h.
At the moment, the price with which the Honda U-be will arrive on the market is unknown. But according to the exchange rate with the Chinese yen, the Honda U-be could cost around 400 euros.
