Menggala (Lampost.co) — The Tulangbawang Regency Government is intensifying the vaccination of livestock to anticipate the increasingly widespread outbreak of mouth and nail disease (PMK).

The Head of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health at the Tulangbawang Agricultural Service, Nasib Subagio, said that Tulangbawang received 3,000 doses of vaccine for livestock.

“2,600 cows have been injected,” said Nasib Subagio, Sunday, July 3, 2022.

According to him, the amount of vaccine obtained is far from the regional requirement of around 27 thousand doses. With the lack of doses for a while, farms are asked to continue to maintain the cleanliness of the cage and provide quality feed.

“If there are livestock that have symptoms of PMK, immediately report to the officer so that they are given vitamins and antibiotics to increase the immunity of the livestock’s body,” he said.
