Club founder Inge Grein-Feil hands over leadership to Sabine Weigert. The club celebrates its anniversary with impressive retrospectives and a colorful program.
Dischingen. The “Friends Create Joy” association celebrated its 40th anniversary. The morning started with a solemn service, which was organized sensitively and hopefully by Dean Pastor Horst. The “Hohes C” choir and the Kesseltaler Weisenbläser provided a celebratory musical setting.
In the festively decorated Dischinger Egauhalle, the celebrations picked up speed. Members of the Heidenheim sports club, walking on stilts, distributed anniversary newspapers and clown noses, which gave a good foretaste of the hours to come.
Pictures from 40 years
A variety of offers awaited visitors in the foyer. Moritz Bartsch’s integrative art exhibition presented impressive works that made you linger and think. For the youngest guests there was a children’s corner for playing and painting as well as face painting. Pictures from 40 years of the club’s history were shown in a cozy cinema corner, accompanied by fresh popcorn donated by Ralf Schweizer from the Kino-Center Heidenheim. A candy bar offered sweet treats for young and old and a photo box, provided by Samuel Schmidt from Alphacom Computer- & Security Technology Heidenheim, ensured successful souvenir photos.
Marita Kasischke moderated the afternoon program in a very humorous way. This was followed by greetings from Uli Schmid, who emphasized the importance of volunteer work, and from Dischingen Mayor Dirk Schabel, who acknowledged the association’s long-standing commitment to the community and assured continued support.
Matthias Schauz, Head of Social Affairs for the Heidenheim district, brought congratulations on behalf of District Administrator Peter Polta and particularly emphasized the social and integrative work of the campaign. Later, Thomas Schöpplein from the board of the Kreissparkasse Heidenheim presented a generous birthday check.

A special moment was the song by Arche member Jürgen Sorg, which he performed in honor of honorary chairwoman Inge Grein-Feil. Musical contributions from the Dischingen Music Association were also served at lunch. Video messages from well-known cabaret artists, including Werner Koczwara and “Herr Hämmerle”, performed by Bernd Kohlhepp, provided further entertainment.
In an emotional speech, Inge Grein-Feil looked back on 40 years of the club’s history and once again emphasized that the “Friends Create Joy” campaign is inextricably linked to the personal history of her and her husband Siggi Feil.
The “Häckl Buam” brought momentum into the hall with Styrian, Bavarian and Swabian mood and entertainment music.
Members were also honored for their 40 years of membership in the club. These are: Inge Grein-Feil, Siggi Feil, Gerlinde and Wolfgang Geier from Demmingen, Ursula Kelle-Argauer from Winterbach and Otto Kipp from Dischingen.
Sabine Weigert also introduced herself as the new chairwoman. She is taking over the legacy of Inge Grein-Feil in the management of the club.
