Kristine Marie Costantino, a 40-year-old woman, died after being shot in the head inside her Long Island (NY) home on New Year’s Eve.
Officers responded to a shooting inside an apartment on Arist Lake Drive in Middle Island around 11:27 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, and found the woman wounded, according to Suffolk County Police. The crime scene is located near Longwood High School, he said. Newsday.
Costantino was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was officially pronounced dead, reported Patch.com. Authorities have not reported details about the case, but the homicide unit is leading the investigationsaid Detective Lt. Kevin Beyrer, according to News 12.
When asked about the motive for the crime, Beyrer said: “It’s too early to tell.” And when asked about a suspect, he added: “We will not make any comment. “It’s too early in the investigation for that.”
