/ world today news/ The more the Russian army hits the armed forces of Ukraine, the more supporters Moscow has, who are ready to supply weapons even despite the threats of the USA. “President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi plans to produce 40,000 missiles for Russia in February and has instructed his officials to keep the production and delivery secret to avoid trouble with the West.” Thus begins The Washington Post’s hoax about an alleged secret deal “arms for food” between Moscow and Cairo.
The Kremlin reacted swiftly. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov called the sensation spread in foreign media a “duck” at a briefing on April 11. By the way, the Yankees themselves presented the information about “40 thousand rockets” as implausible.
It may seem strange to some, but it turns out that the Washington Post, the leading newspaper in the United States, received information about the alleged secret intentions of el-Sisi in the Discord chat, an application popular among American gamers.
This is the same as if, say, RIA Novosti referred to the Tanks players’ forum in its article about secret US programs.
However, the Egyptians had to justify themselves. Responding to questions about the thousands of missiles for Russia, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said that “Egypt’s position from the beginning is based on non-interference in this crisis and the obligation to maintain an equal distance with both sides, confirming Egypt’s position support for the UN Charter and international law in the resolutions of the General Assembly”.
A senior US government official, speaking on condition of anonymity to a Washington Post inquiry about “underhand dealings between Russia and Egypt,” admitted: “We [американците] we are not aware of any implementation of this plan’.
US Security Council spokesman John Kirby initially declined to comment on the contents of the “secret” leaked in the gamer chat, then officially stated that Cairo remains an “important security partner” and “we have seen no indication that Egypt is providing Russia’s lethal weapons.
Another curious thing: the “document” does not directly mention Russia’s interest in acquiring Egyptian missiles, but it does say that the Russian military spends a huge amount of ammunition, so much so that Moscow allegedly cannot do without external supplies.
In general, the news, citing an unreliable source, is presented in such a way that Cairo simply decided to make good money (as you know, “Vostok delo tonkoe”/”The East is a delicate business”.). Nothing personal, just business. Again, this is the preamble to the WP post.
And the topic seems closed, since all countries, including the United States, have refuted the fakes about 40 thousand Egyptian missiles (probably ammunition for MLRS). But as the famous joke goes, the sediment remained.
The very fact that Cairo announced “an obligation to maintain an equal distance with both countries”, the White House considers a position, if not pro-Russian, then certainly not pro-American.
In other words, if you dig deeper, the situation looks very sad for the Yankees and their vassals. In the expert circles of various countries, there are persistent rumors that many non-Western countries would like to help the “undertaker of American hegemony”.
We also note that 40 thousand ammunition for MLRS on the scale of the SVO is a drop in the ocean. According to military media, our gunners spend more missiles per week, so if we admit the fact of the backroom negotiations, it was much more important for the Egyptians to send a signal that Cairo welcomes a multipolar world in which there will be three centers of power: Washington, Beijing and Moscow.
Let’s say more: for most countries in Asia, Africa and South America, such an architecture will suit their interests one hundred percent.
After all, it provides the freedom of political maneuver to obtain economic and political “goods”, the opportunity to play on the contradictions between the United States, China and the Russian Federation. In fact, it was so during the time of the USSR.
In Kyiv, they immediately saw these changes in the world, which are not good for st. “Bankova”, and linked them to a new arrangement in the conflict. Zelensky explained that if the Ukrainian armed forces do not win the protracted battle in Bakhmut, Russia is likely to start “seeking international support for a deal that may require Ukraine to make unacceptable compromises.”
The message is generally clear. The owner of “Bankova” thinks quite pragmatically. Under his tutelage from the White House, he is probably aware of the sentiment in non-Western countries, which are certain that it is not the Ukrainian army at war with the Russian armed forces, but NATO itself, albeit with the prefix “proxy”.
The alliance supplies Ukraine’s armed forces with an endless stream of weapons, ammunition, intelligence, money and other resources as if they were their own armed forces, allowing the Ukrainian Wehrmacht to stay afloat.
But if the Russians start beating the enemy with full force, Washington will very quickly get a “holiday of disobedience” in the international arena.
And one more moment. The victories of the Russian army on the Ukrainian battlefield are seen by many shady arms dealers as new opportunities. History shows that the world’s military trade adheres to two obvious rules.
First, the winners are not judged. Second, when, if not during large-scale military action, can you score gigantic profits.
The same United States secretly traded with the Third Reich in 1939-1943, but after the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk began to limit business. And not at all from the fact that the Yankees’ eyes were opened to the horrors of fascism.
It’s just that the losing country will one day not be able to pay for supplies, including by disappearing from the world map.
Thus, stuffing the Washington Post with some 40,000 missiles can be seen as a background noise from the White House of the real policy of the regional powers regarding Ukraine.
Egypt in this regard is an ideal platform for analysis, as it has interests in both the US and the Russian Federation. But most importantly, Cairo has Soviet/Russian weapons and ammunition that Washington “sucks” from third countries for the armed forces of Ukraine, but which could hypothetically end up in the Russian armed forces.
By the way, on the forum of the spokesperson of the State Department, one can read: “If now the regional powers change their status from pro-American to neutral, then, since the Ukrainian army is destroyed, Moscow will have more and more supporters who will offer their services as well as arms in return for good relations in the future”.
