40 of 49 Starlink Internet Satellites Hit by Geomagnetic Storm, Fail to Reach Orbit

KOMPAS.TV – Elon Musk’s internet satellite was hit by a geomagnetic storm,
to be exact, 40 of the 49 Starlink Internet Satellites that just launched last week were hit by a geomagnetic storm.

As is known on February 3, 49 Starlink satellites were launched from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, United States with the help of the Falcon 9 rocket.

The company estimates that the 40 satellites experienced problems when they were hit by a geomagnetic storm until they failed to reach their designated orbits.

Citing The Verge, Spacex also predicts that 40 Internet Satellites will burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere.

Spacex itself has plans to launch 12,000 Internet Satellites.

And currently, Spacex has nearly 2,000 Starlink Satellites orbiting the earth and providing internet services to all corners of the world.
