Floods caused by rain in northern Turkey have killed 40 people, officials said on Saturday.
The floods began on Wednesday in the provinces of Bartina, Castamonu, Sinopa and Samsun on the Black Sea coast.
More than 2,200 people have been forced to flee their homes by local authorities in student dormitories and other temporary accommodation.
Five bridges collapsed and several more damaged. Several roads have become unusable.
Electricity and water supply were cut off in many places.
