A 4-year-old boy fell Tuesday from the sixth floor of a NYCHA building in the Bronx, New York City Police said.
According to the authorities’ report, the accident occurred at about 12:48 pm in a building located at 291 East 143RD Street and Mott Haven. The boy was transported to Lincoln Hospital after falling from a sixth floor window and is expected to survive.
Details of the cause of the incident have not been released.

To avoid accidents and be safe in the windows, the uniformed officer recommends regularly checking the window protectors, not placing beds or chairs in front of the windows, keeping unsupervised minors away from windows and terraces and not allowing minors to play near unattended window locations in the building.
