NEW YORK – A 4-year-old boy and an adult were shot during an armed conflict in Manhattan.
The shooting was reported at about 12:25 am Wednesday between W. 94th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, according to police.
The initial report from authorities indicates that the minor and the second victim, who was shot in the foot, were caught in crossfire and did not appear to be the target of the gunmen.
Police said one of the gunmen fled the scene on foot, while another boarded a Toyota car.
The boy was taken to Cornell Hospital and the adult to NewYork–Presbyterian, where they are expected to recover.
The police have launched an investigation to find the gunmen.
