China says four of its soldiers were killed in clashes with India in Galvan last year. This is the first time since the June 5 incident that China has officially released the death toll. The report does not mention India’s name but refers to it as a foreign army. The Global Times reported that 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the clashes, which did not hurt the feelings of the people in the wake of the ongoing border clashes. At the time, the Russian agency Tass reported that 45 Chinese soldiers had been killed.
