Friday, February 3, four people were sentenced after the dismantling by the police at the borders of Toulouse of an alleged network of assistance for illegal residence. 320 meal delivery licenses were reportedly issued under false identities.
Judged in immediate appearance Friday, February 3, four people suspected of issuing false papers to foreigners were sentenced by the Montauban prosecution to sentences ranging from 18 to 36 months in prison. They also received fines ranging from 3,000 to 15,000 euros.
On Monday, January 30, the border police of Toulouse proceeded to dismantle an alleged network of assistance for illegal residence and the supply of false documents. It allowed foreigners in an irregular situation to work under false identities, with “Uber Eats” meal delivery licenses for several hundred euros. These autoentrepreneur licenses were obtained from commercial courts by producing falsified copies of residence permits or false invoices from energy suppliers.
At the scene, the police seized nearly 6,000 euros in cash, 5,000 euros in bank accounts as well as computer equipment, telephones and a vehicle.
The investigation reports 320 meal delivery licenses issued and linked to the phone numbers and email addresses used by two brothers. The other five people are suspected of having been their accomplices responsible for turning potential customers towards them or allowing the evaporation of the fraud, estimated at 235,000 euros in 2022.
