Four people were shot dead in a Friday night shootout outside a high school football stadium in theAlabama, police said. Another person was in critical condition. Two of the four people shot were minors, the mobile police chief told reporters, Paul Prine. The shooting took place just before 10 p.m. local time on an exit ramp outside the stadium Ladd-Peebles while the match between rival high schools Williamson and Vigor was coming to an end.
The shooting did not take place on the field or in the stands, but the crowd fled to the exits and the players fell to the ground for safety reasons. The gunman was not apprehended and it is not known if the police have any leads. A witness told police that 2 people and possibly more fled the stadium in a white sedan after the shooting, but it is not known if they had anything to do with the shooting.
