Leaking cellphone batteries is a problem that is often experienced by users. However, sometimes users are not aware that their habits are the cause.
According to Wildan Mukholad, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager, Samsung Electronics Indonesia, there are four habits that make HP batteries leak quickly.
“With busy daily activities and often demanding that we stay productive, some of our habits when using smartphones without realizing it actually make the battery leak easily or run out quickly,” said Wildan.
1. Charging less wisely
One of the mistakes that must be avoided so that the battery remains durable is using the cellphone while charging, because it will make the device hot. If done continuously, the phone battery will be short-lived and quickly leak.
“It’s good, when charging the device, just use the smartphone as necessary or if there is an emergency need. To be more secure, you can turn off the smartphone while it is charging. Moreover, you don’t really have to wait long when charging the smartphone because now there is fast charging technology, like the Galaxy M53 5G which is equipped with a 25W Super Fast Charging feature that can charge almost 50% in just 30 minutes, so you can quickly use your smartphone again after charging it,” explained Wildan.
In addition, various studies show that charging the smartphone battery to 100% is a bad habit. To extend battery life, it’s a good idea to charge when the device’s battery has touched the 30% mark and stop charging in the 80%-85% range.
A number of cellphones, such as the Galaxy M53 5G, already have a protect battery function which, if activated, will automatically limit charging to only 85%. So, you don’t have to bother going back and forth to check how many percent of your battery is charged. Here’s an easy way to activate the protect battery feature:
- Open Settings
- Pilih Battery and device care
- Choose Battery
- Select More battery settings
- Activate the toggle next to the protect battery feature
