4 Foreigners Involved in Beatings in Bali Handed Over to Immigration, Deported Immediately All

BALI, KOMPAS.com – A total of four foreigners who were involved in beating a Ukrainian citizen in Bali finally handed over to the Immigration Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Bali.

The four foreigners are ZO who are Ukrainian citizens, VK are Ukrainian citizens, AT are Russian citizens, and ID are Ukrainian citizens.

“After the handover process (from the Bali Police to the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office), the deportation process for the four foreigners will be carried out as soon as possible,” said the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Jamaruli Manihuruk at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center, Friday (4/2/2022) night.

Jamaruli said the four foreigners were suspected of having disturbed public order and violating Article 75 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

The commotion made by the four foreigners has disrupted the creation of a conducive environment in the Bali region, especially the tourism sector which has recently been disrupted by the pandemic.

“This kind of beating should not disturb the peace of the people and Bali tourism,” said Jamaruli.

Previously, a foreign citizen (WNA) from Ukraine in Bali with the initials ZO was ganged up by a number of other foreigners in the North Kuta area of ​​Badung Regency.

The attack was caught on video and has gone viral on social media. The Bali Regional Police (Polda) intervened to investigate the case.

Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation at the Bali Police, AKBP Suratno, said that the incident took place on Wednesday (2/2/2022).

The location of the beating took place on Jalan Subak Sari Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung Regency.

“The perpetrators together beat the victim because of a misunderstanding,” said Suratno during a press conference at the Bali Police Headquarters, Friday (4/2/2022) afternoon.

The misunderstanding was related to the motorbike rental whose whereabouts were questioned by the victim. In short, both sides were involved in beatings and beatings.
