Drug lord of Mexico Joaquin ‘El Chapo‘ Guzman admitted that he could not stand the mental torture in prison United States of Americawhere he was imprisoned for life.
El Chapo’s attorney, Jose Refugio Rodriguez, said El Chapo experienced a number of torments such as not being allowed to leave the room for six years. El Chapo never saw sunlight during that time.
“He suffered psychological torment,” said Rodriguez.
Because of his suffering, El Chapo finally sent an emergency message or ‘SOS’ to Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Through that message, he also wanted Obrador to investigate alleged procedural violations during his extradition in 2017.
The US is guarding El Chapo as tightly as possible, because the most wanted drug kingpin has twice escaped from prison in Uncle Sam’s country.
As reported by CNN, El Chapo first escaped in 2001 after bribing the prison warden in Puente Grande. He escapes by hiding in a dirty laundry tub.
The second was in 2015, when El Chapo escaped from the Altiplano prison. At that time, El Chapo fled after making a secret tunnel for months, then his driver picked him up.
His running away action no doubt made the US consider him very risky to escape.
