The ministry indicated that the effects include weight gain (excessive obesity), extreme short stature compared to the person’s age, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies such as iron deficiency, which causes anemia.
She pointed out that improper nutrition means not getting the right amount of essential nutrients such as protein, calories and micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Where in this case weakens the body and is characterized by frequent infections and diseases.
She noted that the term undernutrition is used to describe the condition of people who eat food that does not contain enough calories (energy) to meet their minimum physiological needs for an active life.
She pointed out that unbalanced nutrition is the diet in which certain types of nutrients are eaten more than others, such as carbohydrates or fats, which leads to chronic diseases such as obesity and heart disease.
