CNN Indonesia —
Brebet engine is one of the problems that often occurs in injection motors. Brebet is a condition when vehicle engine can not work in optimal conditions.
Brebet is characterized by slow engine rotation, easy engine shutdown, and stuttering. Of course, there are causes injection engine bruises and how to overcome them.
This brebet injection motorbike will certainly interfere with your comfort and safety while driving.
In addition, a heavy injection motor will also make the engine require more fuel intake to keep the engine running. This means that the motor will become increasingly wasteful of fuel.
At least there are several causes of brebet injection motors. Apart from the age factor, this condition is also very likely due to the carelessness of the vehicle owner himself or human error.
Of course this condition cannot be left unchecked because it is not impossible that it will damage other components on your motorbike.
Copied from the site Motor and Wheelshere are four causes of brebet injection motors and how to overcome them.

1. Inappropriate fuel
The more sophisticated and high compression your injection engine is, it requires fuel oil (BBM) that has a high octane rating as well.
Selection of the appropriate fuel will make the combustion process perfect. Vice versa, fuel that is not suitable will leave combustion residue.
This inappropriate fuel will make more residual combustion, incomplete combustion, symptoms knocking, wasteful, and experiencing brebet. For this reason, it is very important to choose fuel that suits the needs of the motorbike.
How to overcome:
The fix is to choose the appropriate fuel type. Usually, motorbike manufacturers have provided information about the type of fuel that suits the injection motorbike that you have.
2. Dirty air filter
The combustion process that occurs in the engine requires fire, fuel, and air.
Air from outside is sucked into the vehicle engine which has previously been filtered by a filter to ensure that only clean air free of dust and foreign matter will enter the injection engine.
Well, of course, the air filter needs to be replaced periodically to ensure that the incoming air is really clean. A dirty air filter will make the incoming air not smooth and not clean, causing the injection engine to become clogged.
How to overcome:
This air filter must be replaced according to the age of use and the location where you live. The dirtier the air, the more your fuel injection motor’s air filter should be replaced sooner than it should.
3. Damage to the spark plug
The cause of the next brebet injection motor is a damaged spark plug. A damaged spark plug cannot spark the fire needed in combustion.
This damaged spark plug is marked with a black color and soot appears on the spark plug head. Apart from experiencing crashes, the injection motor is also difficult to start when the spark plug is damaged.
How to overcome:
The way to deal with a brebet injection motor because the spark plug is damaged is to replace it with a new one. To choose this spark plug you also can’t be careless. Choose a spark plug according to the use of the motor.
4. Loose valve
Over time, the valve will become tenuous. Moreover, if you do often use this injection motor in daily activities. Loose valves will make injection motors become messy and wasteful.
How to overcome:
This tenuous valve problem will not occur if you routinely service your injection motor. Usually, a technician will perform a reset on the valve to make sure it is in the right position.
You can use the causes and how to deal with the brebet injection motor above as a reference if you experience this condition.
To prevent the risk of brebet injection motorbikes, you should follow the recommendations set by the motorbike manufacturer regarding the type of fuel while carrying out regular servicing.
