Four astronauts prepare to return to Earth after conducting a research mission on the ISS.
Three NASA astronauts and one JAXA astronaut use the SpaceX Crew-1 plane to return to Earth. Crew-1 is the first collaboration between NASA and SpaceX on astronaut dispatch and return.
This is NASA’s attempt to restart astronaut launches from the US which had been stalled for several years. Crew-1 is expected to land on Earth at night and will be the first night landing since the last one occurred in December 1968.
