Jakarta (ANTARA) – Four astronauts from the third exploration of SpaceX and the United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) managed to arrive at the International Space Station (ISS) and were greeted by other astronauts on board the ISS.
Launching The Verge, Sunday, the arrival of four astronauts who have the group name “Crew-2” was conveyed by NASA on their twitter account @NASA.
The four astronauts involved in the mission are Megan McArthur and Shane Kimbrough from NASA, Akihiko Hoshide from the Japan Space Exploration Agency (JAXA), and Thomas Pesquet from the European Space Agency (ESA).
They travel at a speed of 17,000 miles per hour with an orbit about 250 miles from Earth.
His fourth journey to the ISS lasted 24 hours and was the initiation step of space travel using rockets that had previously been used (reuse).
The rocket they used, the Falcon 9, was the first rocket used in 2020 for SpaceX’s debut to fly Crew-1 to the ISS.
The four of them will stay at the ISS for 6 months to conduct research related to tissue tissue which is expected to be useful for technology and innovation in the health sector.

Their arrival means there are now 11 humans aboard our orbiting laboratory, a number not seen since the space shuttle era. Hugs abound. pic.twitter.com/uSwW3JFl6K
