4.3% strike rate drops to lowest

SNCF strike rate stabilizes in January

Evolution of the rate of strikers among railway workers and among the personnel essential to the circulation of trains (drivers, controllers and signalers), since the first day of strike on December 5.


The rate of strikers measured Monday morning January 13 at the French National Railway Company (SNCF) is 4.3%, with less than one in four drivers (22.5%) concerned, according to figures published by the direction. It is the lowest rate since the start of the strike against the pension reform, which is in its fortieth day.

Among the other personnel essential for train traffic, 11.9% of the controllers and 8.6% of the signalmen were on strike, according to this count. This is a new low, the previous one dated January 3, when the overall rate of strikers was 6.2%. The highest, 55.6%, was reached on the first day of the movement, December 5.
