Kansas City (USA), Jul 26 (EFE) .- The designated hitter, Cuban Jorge Soler, hit a pair of home runs for the second consecutive day and the Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago White Sox 4-3 to extend to six consecutive games his winning streak.
Starter Mike Minor (8-8) provided his fifth high-quality start in his last six games.
Minor gave up two runs and three hits in six innings. He walked and struck out seven opposing batters. With Minor’s victory over the Brewers in Milwaukee on July 20, the Royals began their current winning streak.
Reliever Scott Barlow worked the final two innings and posted his sixth save.
Left-hander Dallas Keuchel (7-4) took the loss by allowing three solo homers. He conceded four earned runs and six hits in six innings of work. He walked and retired three opposing batters by way of strikeout.
Soler finished as the great leader of the explosive and timely hitting of the Royals by going 4-2, pair of RBIs and scored. EFE
