The count is daily but there are milestones that mark. The number of people in Center-Val de Loire having received a first dose of vaccine against the coronavirus has crossed the symbolic barrier of 100,000 out of a global population of two and a half million people. In this case, on February 17, Public Health France specifies that 107,524 people have been vaccinated, or 4.2% of the population of Center-Val de Loire. This corresponds to the national average. Hauts-de-France is lagging behind with 2.7% of people vaccinated, when Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is already at 5%.
Disparities according to the departments of Center-Val de Loire
At the regional level, the departments are not at the same level of vaccination. The three most populous departments, Loiret, Indre-et-Loire and Eure-et-Loir are below the 4% mark, while the other three, Cher, Indre and Loir-et-Cher, less populated, are above, and even much more for Indre and Cher with respectively 6.5% and 5.7 % of inhabitants vaccinated. A trend that is also found in the percentage at the second vaccination.
- Loiret: 24,771 people received a first dose
- Indre-et-Loire: 21,761 people received a first dose
- Cher : 16,886 people received a first dose
- Internal : 14,081 people received a first dose
- Loir-et-Cher: 14,046 people received a first dose
Different situations depending on the department
In the Loiret, the vaccination campaign has intensified since the beginning of the week, with seven vaccination centers and a traveling bus offered by the departmental council. The number of vaccine doses received by the department will increase by 40%, but a large part will be used for second injections. In the Cher, new appointment slots are open, 5,400 slots in the six permanent vaccination centers of the department. In the Indre, the campaign will intensify in March with the supply of 5,800 doses of vaccine, many of which will also be used for the second injection. In Touraine, the goal posted by the prefecture is to reach 25,000 vaccinated by the end of February, and to accelerate in March thanks to the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
Vaccination possible among liberal doctors from February 25
From February 25, treating physicians will be authorized to vaccinate people aged 50 to 64 with co-morbidities. Faced with this new method of vaccination (hitherto confined to nursing homes and hospital vaccination centers or not), Doctolib will put its software at the service of general practitioners already subscribed to best meet the demand which continues to increase. The software will be available to pharmacists, when they are authorized to vaccinate, explains Doctolib.
