Magdeburg dominance in half one
The host starts badly and sought contact with the Magdeburger Tor early on. The high passes to the top were mostly too imprecise. The FCM, on the other hand, tried to dominate the game with controlled flat passes. After a quarter of an hour it was almost rewarded. Obermair’s pass into the center of the penalty area let Baris Atik cleverly through to Florian Kath. But KFC goalkeeper Königshofer was able to parry it from close range (15th).

Magdeburg now attacked much more resolutely. Again and again the attacks rolled over the wings. But even Dominik Ernst did not hit the mark after a great pass from Adrian Malachowski when he was free standing in front of Königshofer (21st). Uerdingen hardly took place offensively. Only Fridolin Wagner surprisingly had the lead on his foot after 24 minutes, but only hit the post after preparatory work by Mike Feigenspan and was offside during the pass anyway. The FCM controlled the action until the break, but failed to take the lead despite nice moves.

Uerdingen punishes Magdeburg usury
The guests continued cheerfully after the restart, stood extremely tall and tied Uerdingen in their own half. Substitute Brünker did not get enough pressure behind his header after a cross from Leon Bell Bell (50th). The KFC remained harmless in their offensive actions, also because the FCM made a very solid impression defensively as in the past few weeks. Atik, Brünker and Co. continued to grapple with their teeth at the Krefeld bulwark.

Shortly afterwards, Magdeburg’s usury of opportunities should take revenge. After the substitute Luka Sliskovic missed the lead again despite a promising position, the KFC struck cold: Muhammed Kiprit crossed the ball in the penalty area after a quick counter attack, Gustav Marcussen gave Behrens no chance with his decrease from close range (76th). Then Magdeburg threw everything forward again, but Uerdingen brought the three points that are so eminently important for relegation over time. For the FCM, however, an impressive series of eleven games ended without defeat.

This is what the coaches said:
Christian Titz (Magdeburg) at “Magenta” -Sport: “We dominated the game for the entire duration and had very good shot opportunities. In the second half it was a game on goal. As it goes, we get a counterattack . Today we have to look for the mistake with us. So you leave the field as a loser. In the end we didn’t use our own opportunities in front of goal. Games like today are not easy. Sometimes the opponent was on his own line with six players. ”
Stefan Reisinger (Team Principal Krefeld) at “Magenta” -Sport: “Today everyone was there with passion. It was good for us to train again during the week. A great compliment to the whole team. We knew that we were 90 minutes have to work a lot defensively, because Magdeburg has a lot of quality. You are happy about such a pinprick. We have been focused for weeks. We need what the boys called today. ”
