FC Bayern Munich fulfills the mandatory task in Duisburg in the women’s Bundesliga without any risk. In the lead also Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Hessians won 3-1 (1-1) against Werder Bremen on Matchday 3 and are two points behind reigning champions VfL Wolfsburg. The Bremen team slipped to eleventh place with just one point.
Goals were scored by Geraldine Reuteler (35th minute), international Nicole Anyomi (46th) and Lara Prasnikar. Nina Lührßen (70th) only made the provisional connection for the guests.
The players of Eintracht Frankfurt have started the new Bundesliga season well. In the home game against Werder Bremen, however, the Eintracht women had to shake a little after a lightning start in the second half.
FCB: two goals from colleagues from the national team
FC Bayern won 4-0 at MSV Duisburg. Internationals Linda Dallmann (7th / 17th) and Lea Schüller (74th / 82nd) each scored two goals and kept Bayern within close range of VfL Wolfsburg.
The Munich hosts dominated the game at will and could have won even better. Duisburg failed to get out of their own half in the second half, only goalkeeper Ena Mahmutovic prevented a higher defeat.
Freiburg beats Essen, goal in the final for TSG
SC Freiburg played an equally superior match against SGS Essen. Breisgau women won 5: 2. Especially in the first half, the Essen side were weak on defense and were already 0: 5 behind at half-time. The home team’s goals were scored by strong Svenja Fölmli (8th), Janina Minge with a hat-trick (17th / 23rd / 36th) and Cora Zicai (40th).
In the second round, Essen managed to score only one aesthetic result, which Antonia Baass (62a) and Vivien Endemann (77a) also managed to do.
TSG Hoffenheim scored the first points by beating SV Meppen 2-0 (0-0). The goals are by Ereleta Memeti (66 ‘) and Chantal Hagel (70’).
Cologne wins the wild duel against Potsdam
1. FC Köln had previously won a savage duel against Turbine Potsdam in the women’s Bundesliga on Saturday (1 October 2022). Sharon Beck’s Cologne opening advantage (8th minute) was countered by Turbine with a brace from Martyna Wiankowska (9th / 11th).
From the 44th minute only ten guests played after a red card for an emergency braking against the goalkeeper Vanessa Fischer. Newly replaced goalkeeper Jill Frehse was able to save Mandy Islacker’s penalty (45 ‘) and prevented the draw.
Ten minutes after the restart with an own goal by Wiankowska (54th). Islacker (74th) and Myrthe Moorrees (87th) secured Cologne’s second win of the season in their third game. Potsdam, on the other hand, is still waiting for their first success this season.
Wolfsburg with a goal in celebration against Leverkusen
VfL Wolfsburg started Matchday 3 of the women’s Bundesliga against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with a goal festival.
On Friday evening (30 September 2022) the Wolfsburg team celebrated an impressive 6-1 victory in front of 2,619 spectators against Leverkusen, who had previously drawn for second place in the table. With their third win in the third game, the doubles winners have also extended their lead in the standings.
Jill Roord (13 ‘), Ewa Pajor (28’), Lena Oberdorf (56 ‘), Felicitas Rauch (72’) and Sveindis Jonsdottir (74 ‘, 75’) scored the Wolfsburg goals. Meanwhile, Jill Bayings (30th) has shortened for the Leverkusen guests.
