3e de Quillan in official selection for a video festival in Paris

Students from the Edouard-Herriot high school made a film about the profession of hatter.

This year, the students of the 3rd preparatory trades of the professional high school Edouard-Herriot de Quillan took part in the national video competition of I film the job that I like and they are part of the official selection eligible for a prize.

Parcoursmétiers.tv is a new online platform placed under the high patronage of the National Education whose goal is to discover different professions in an original way to facilitate the orientation of young people.

This festival takes place every year and offers prizes for the best videos made by the students and their teacher: Claps (this is the name of the reward) of diamond, gold, silver, bronze…

This year, Livio, Enzo, Frédérica, Khaly, Junior, Tony, Anaëlle, Lucas, Keylian, Enzo, Louanne, Ryan, Diakou and Issa, accompanied by their main teacher Mr. Marroncles, have decided to present the Montcapel millinery located in Montazel . They thus worked on the profession of hatter and at the same time told the beautiful story of these workers: Babé, Élodie, Nelly, Serge, Alain, Jean-Luc, Francesco and Nicolas. The latter, accompanied by Sonia Mielke, fought to reopen this factory, which had been closed two years earlier, and to relaunch its activity so that ancestral know-how and permanent jobs would continue in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude.

Verdict at the end of May

The involvement of the students in this project and the welcome given to them by the entire Montcapel team enabled their film to be noticed and to claim a prize. This would then be an opportunity to enhance their territory and all the people who invest themselves in it without counting the cost.
