3D-print custom shells – Valve releases CAD files to Steam Deck

In a somewhat unusual move, Valve has published CAD drawings on its upcoming Steam Deck, completely free Github. They are made available under a Creative Commons license, and thus seem to release it completely free for third-party manufacturers to make their own shells and cases for the upcoming game console. The reports Eurogamer.

This is also good news for those who want to make their own modifications and accessories, for example with a 3D printer.

“We look forward to what the community creates,” Valve announces.
