39th charity concert in the itzehoe theater

The Kiel Marine Music Corps will once again be presenting musical highlights for a good cause on November 12th at the itzehoe theater.

In the run-up to Christmas, the charity concert with the Kiel Marine Music Corps in the itzehoe theater cannot be missed. On Tuesday, November 12th at 7:30 p.m., the audience can expect a wide repertoire of classics but also new sounds – in keeping with the concert title “Eatworms and Exotics”.

Under the direction of Lieutenant Commander Inga Hilsberg, the Marine Music Corps presents, among other things, Bedřich Smetana’s “The Vltava”, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and “The Overture to the Bat”. With the tuba concerto by Rodney Newton and the flute concerto by Cécile Chaminade, the soloists from the ranks of the Marine Music Corps play other exciting works that are no less worth listening to. The charity concert also promises to be a musical benefit, said Mayor Ralf Hoppe.

Together with mayor Dr. He thanked Markus Müller Andrea Hülsen, head of the social and housing department, as well as the reservist association with the Volksbund Deutscher Kriegsgräbersorge for organizing the concert.

The entrance fee for the approximately two-hour event is 10 euros. Tickets are available at theater itzehoe and online. Andrea Hülsen was satisfied with how advance sales have gone so far and is hoping for a full house to benefit the Christmas charity.

The charity concert marks the start of the city of Itzehoe’s annual Christmas fundraising campaign. Children and young people from families who are not doing well financially can receive support from the Christmas charity in the form of vouchers for the purchase of winter clothing, school bags or other school supplies.
