For a 39-year-old man from Darmstadt, early Friday morning (January 14) ended in police custody and the initiation of an investigation. At around 2 a.m., witnesses reported to the police for the first time and reported a man who was suspiciously tampering with parked cars on Messeler Strasse. When the officers arrived, the person described was located and checked while leaning against a car. After he was unable to provide any conclusive information about his behavior, the Darmstadt resident, who was already known to the police, was sent off. Because he did not comply, he was repeatedly found in Jägertorstraße only a few minutes later and was carrying objects about whose origin he could not provide any comprehensible information, he was taken into custody to enforce the eviction and further avert danger. In addition, the complaint was made about the attempted theft from cars. He will now have to face criminal charges in the future.
