The businessman, the former CEO of Tatspirtprom company Irek Minnakhmetov died in Kazan at the age of 39. This was reported by Business Online with reference to the source.

Irek Minnakhmetov was born in Kazan. He worked as the General Director of Genghis Khan LLC, Deputy General Director of Tatspirtprom and Deputy General Director of Tatmedia. He also led the Republican Press and Mass Media Agency Tatmedia. From 2015 to January 2020, he held the position of Director General of JSC Tatspirtprom.
According to REGNUM, Minnakhmetov was predicted to replace Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, and the republican media even gave him the nickname “Tsarevich Minnikhanov.”
