376 tons of branches and leaves were sent out; applications will be accepted until August 30

To make it easier for residents of the sea to clean their property after a storm, Jūrmala Municipality, in cooperation with “CleanR”, ensures that tree branches and leaves that fell during the storm are taken away for free private individuals. The reception and processing of applications has not yet ended – applications will be accepted until August 30.

Between August 4 and 18, 376 tons of storm-damaged trash—leaves and branches from 960 applications—were removed from waterfront properties; there are 720 registered applications yet to be exported. Likewise, citizen applications will continue to be accepted every day until August 30.

Individuals who have signed a contract with the waste manager “CleanR” can donate fallen tree branches (with a diameter of up to 15 cm, cut to a length of up to 1.5 meters) and tree leaves, which must be placed in bags with a volume not exceeding 100 liters, free of charge.

Coasters can apply for the removal of branches and leaves more conveniently and quickly on the self-service portal or mobile app manai.videi.lv.

When you apply to remove branches and leaves, you must specify the amount of waste to be delivered – the number of bags of leaves and the number of branches – how many trees – and if you prefer a photo connection

The branches must be stacked, their diameter must not exceed 15 centimeters and they must be sawn so that their length does not exceed 1.5 meters so that they can be placed in the vehicle special transport.

Collected leaves should be placed in bags, which should be tied carefully. The volume of one bag cannot exceed 100 liters. It is necessary to make sure that the bags are not filled too much, so that they do not tear and the top of the bag does not become loose when they are lifted to be placed in the car for further transport.

For successful removal, the branches and bags with leaves should be placed in the place where the household waste container is usually placed on the day of the waste. They can be mounted next to the vessel on the day of removal or the night before. If, for some reason, the leaf bags cannot be placed next to a household waste machine, the application must indicate the exact location where they will be located.
