37 Pertamina doctors and Volunteer Friends of Indonesia (SRI) conducted tuberculosis or TB screening tests in Cibeo Badui Dalam Village, Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, Banten.
SRI Coordinator Muhammad Arif said in Lebak, Sunday, that his party was collaborating with Pertamina doctors to conduct TB screening tests as well as treating stunting and anticipating ground snake bites.
So far, according to him, cases of tuberculosis, poisonous snake bite and poisoning in the Badui Dalam area are very evident, especially during the rainy season.
Therefore, his party brought in doctors from SRI and Pertamina to collaborate to improve the health of the Badui community.
The three municipal health positions are equipped with health equipment and medical personnel to serve the Bedouin community who experience poisonous snake bites, stunting, tuberculosis, childbirth, skin diseases, and others.
“We really care about the health of the Bedouin people so we hope they can live a healthy life,” he said.
Assistant Manager for Regional Health Operations 2 Jakarta, Dr. Pedy Hidayat, said that his party was providing health checks for the first time in Badui Dalam in collaboration with SRI so it was hoped that Badui community live healthy.
At the same time, “The Great Child” Research Manager Dr. Iffah Dias said that his party distributed various nutritious foods and milk to Bedouin children so that they could reduce stunting.
In addition, it also performs weight and body measurements for Bedouin children.
“We will focus on treating Bedouin children who are oppressed,” he said.
Ardi (60), who lived in Cibeo Badui Dalam, admitted that he was greatly helped by the health services provided by Pertamina and Friends of Indonesian Volunteers.
“We were greatly helped by the SRI treatment which provided good care at no cost and we recovered,” he said.
