On Sunday June 13, the IV Costa Coruña Swimming Crossing is celebrated, with two tests of one thousand and three thousand meters in the waters of Riazor-Orzán. Be part of Open Water Swimming Circuit, in which 360 people are registered, from the age of 14. A 68-year-old woman will be the oldest participant.
The City Council of A Coruña supports the Circuit, which reaches its VI edition, as a pole of tourist attraction as well as sports. After the test in the “open waters” of A Coruña, the next crossing will be on July 18 on the Oleiros coast. August 15 will correspond to the Sisargas in Malpica to end on September 5 in Ézaro. Of the 260 participants, only 63 are women. The female presence in the event is still scarce although it is experiencing growth. Six years ago it was 5%, in this year’s edition it is 20.
