While listening to the same song on Flea every time, I found the name of an unfamiliar musician through a random recommendation from Melon. The name was something even more unfamiliar: ‘Hanroro.’ I was curious as to whether it was Pororo or his real name (I looked it up and found out it was a stage name…), but out of curiosity, I listened to the song ‘Abnormal Flight’, which is also the first song in this album. After listening to the song, I immediately fell in love with it, so I added ‘Flight’ to the album FLY, and then added 5 other songs!! I think I spent the next few days commuting to and from work listening only to songs from this album.

This album and the ‘abnormal flight’ that led to musician Han Ro-ro. I looked it up on Namu Wiki and it says that this song is Han Ro-ro’s favorite song. The reason is that many songs are recognized as starting from this song. I like this song, so I looked up Han Ro-ro’s live video on YouTube and listened to it. Her voice was very stable and clear, and it seemed like she had a heavenly stage personality.

I started with ‘Flight’, but after listening to the songs on the album, the song I liked the most was Seaweed, which is linked to the video below. (The second track of this album) It may seem like an exaggeration, but when I listen to this song, two musicians come to mind: Jaurim and Seo Taiji. I am writing this with the feeling of becoming a big fan, saying that I can feel Jaurim’s sensibility and the lingering feeling of Seo Taiji’s song in the song. Please give it a listen~

If I had to choose one more song, I would like to choose the song ‘Self-Profession’ linked below. It’s a song that talks about various things through the implied lyrics contained in the lyrics ‘self-determination’, and it felt like it had more depth than other songs. If you listen carefully to the lyrics, this song will seem more relatable to you.

It seems like a lot of fandom is already forming for Hanro-ro due to his charms, including songs full of rock sensibility, a stable voice, and a cute image. Personally, I think that with just a little bit of algorithm(?), I could grow into a musician with a huge fan base. (Of course, he is still amazing.) After looking for more information about the singer, it seems that he is also active in the lineup of other rock festivals, including Pentaport. I would like to watch his future activities as a fan.
