In Gabon, the results of the baccalaureate examinations for general, technical and vocational education, which were made public last weekend, show an improvement of 6.7%.
After taking the exams from June 10 to 23, 2023, the candidates were informed on June 24 of the results of the first round of the Baccalaureate 2023. For this first round, the percentage gave 36.91%, in Gabon. This percentage which has improved unlike the year 2022, where the success rate of the first round was 36.91%.
Indeed, as regards general education, 25,959 candidates were registered, 25,516 candidates passed their examination. Among them, 9,135 were declared automatically admitted against 6,618 during the 2022 session. A success rate of 35.80%. An improvement of just over 6.7%. 11,800 candidates were declared eligible For an eligibility rate of 46.25%. Regarding the baccalaureate in technical and vocational education, out of 4,164 candidates registered, 4,069 took the tests. Among them, 1,587 admitted automatically. A success rate of 43.92% compared to 28.9% during the 2022 session. An increase of 15.83%. 1,669 candidates are eligible, a percentage of 41.02%.
Also this year, 22 candidates living with a disability took part in the exam, including 15 who were automatically admitted. A success rate of 68.18%. 6 candidates are eligible (27.27%), only one was rejected. For the incarcerated candidates, 8 took part in this examination. But only 3 were declared eligible (37.50%) and the other 5 failed. After the publication of the first round, the admitted are called to take the second round tests from this Monday, June 26, 2023.
