The survey results showed that the satisfaction of consumers who use affordable phones affiliated with mobile carriers was an average of 3.59 points out of 5 points.
The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 26th that the result of a satisfaction survey of 1,200 people with experience of using three affordable phone service companies affiliated with mobile telecommunication companies, such as KT M Mobile, LG Hello Mobile, and SK Seven Mobile, was found.
By business operator, KT M Mobile scored the highest with 3.66 points.
This was followed by LG Hello Mobile (3.58 points) and SK Seven Mobile (3.52 points).
When looking at satisfaction in detail, the evaluation of the product and the original service (product characteristics) such as price, speed, and additional benefits, and the evaluation of the subjective feelings felt while experiencing the service (favorability) averaged 3.46 points, respectively.
Satisfaction with service quality, which evaluates all factors other than products and original services, was 3.43 points.
The average level of satisfaction compared to expectations for the service level of the company was 3.77 points, and the level of satisfaction compared to the ideal service level to be provided across the industry was 3.69 points.
On the other hand, 20.2% of the cases were subscribed to the affordable phone service along with the purchase of the handset, and the rest answered that they subscribed to the affordable phone by buying a SIM chip.
91.2% of affordable phone handsets were using the 4th generation (4G) mobile communication Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard, and the rate of using 5G handsets was 5.2%.
76.4% of them moved to affordable phone operators after using three mobile communication companies.
Among KT M Mobile and LG Hello Mobile users, 43.5% and 32.3% of the users moved from KT to affordable phones, respectively.
It was found that 50.3% of SK Seven Mobile users moved while using SK Telecom.
The survey was conducted online on October 15-20 last year, targeting 400 users with each business operator.
