The two former colleagues and football fans, Luca De Iullis and Bryan Marcolino, have launched a project that has never been seen before in the Grand Duchy. The free “352 Football Festival” will take place in Dudelange today and tomorrow Sunday at the “NeiSchmelz” location – an event that combines social, cultural and sporting activities.
“We offer activities for people of all ages,” says organizer Bryan Marcolino. «Collages will be created, an ultra banner will be created, it will be explained how to take analog photos on a sports field and benches from the old seats of the Josy Barthel Stadium will be exhibited. Visitors can dip a ball in paint and shoot the ball against a wall. Everyone gets a turn and in the end a huge work of art will be created. In addition, everyone can design their own T-shirt.»
There will also be several panel discussions and a 5v5 tournament spanning both days. The documentary “Um Ball” gives an insight into the history of Luxembourg women’s football, but Dudelange’s 100-year football history is also presented. Prominent guests give the “Dräi Fënnef Zwee” festival international flair and vintage fans can buy jerseys at four stands. “The dealers come from Brussels, the Ukraine, London and the Bastnach/Wiltz region,” says Bryan Marcolino happily. Of course, music and food are also well catered for.
