(Keystone-SDA) 35,000 music fans celebrated during the Energy Air on Saturday evening at the Bern Expo site. The specially constructed stage featured performances by German pop star Adel Tawil, Swiss artist Loco Ecscrito together with Stress, and rapper EAZ.
This year’s Energy Air was completely sold out, as the organizers wrote in a statement on Sunday night. Tickets for the event were only available to win.
On one evening, numerous musicians were on stage. The organizers described the performance of the Belgian singer Milow as the highlight. Other performers included rapper Manilio, singer Naomie Lareine, the Swiss ESC participant Remo Forrer and the rock band Picture This.
For the first time, the food on offer at the concert evening was purely vegetarian. According to the organizer, this saved an estimated 45 tons of CO2. It was not yet clear whether the concept would be retained for the next editions.
Last year, Energy Air took place in Zurich. 50,000 visitors flocked to Zurich’s Letzigrund Stadium.
