In Rotterdam, a 35-year-old woman was seriously injured when a shopping cart was thrown at her. According to police, witnesses saw the cart being thrown down from a walkway by four boys.
The incident happened last night around 8 p.m. at the Zuidplein shopping center in South Rotterdam. The victim was walking out of the supermarket when she was handed the shopping cart, reports said Rijnmond. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries. It is not known how she is doing.
The police are looking for the perpetrators and are calling on witnesses to come forward. An employee of the supermarket tells Rijnmond that the camera images have been viewed, but that no one in the images matches the description of the perpetrators. “The most logical thing would be if they went onto the bridge via the elevator with the cart, but nothing has emerged of this.”
