Darmstadt (ots) – A 35-year-old woman from Darmstadt was robbed at a stop on Luisenplatz on Wednesday (May 13th). At around 6 p.m., the as yet unknown perpetrator had apparently taken advantage of a brief moment and grabbed the iPhone from his handbag within a few seconds. The bag stood there, briefly unobserved, in the bus shelter. When the woman noticed the theft, the Darmstadt woman spoke to a man who was standing alone with her in the bus shelter at the time. Thereupon the latter climbed into the tram, strikingly quickly, as described by the robbed, and disappeared.
Whether the suspect is the possible perpetrator is the subject of investigations carried out by the EDC in Darmstadt. The man is said to be about 50 to 60 years old. He had a big belly and black-gray mottled hair. His clothes are said to have been black. He also carried a bike with him.
