Police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a 35-year-old man at least eight times in different parts of the body inside Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park after an apparent argument, according to authorities.
Investigators said the two men reportedly started fighting in the park around 6 p.m. last Monday, well before sunset.
It was not clear why they argued, but the officer added that the suspect took out a sharp object and stabbed the victim several times before fleeing.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with stab wounds to his left and right shoulder, chest, vital arm, right forearm, left and right legs, and left calf. She was said to be in critical condition but is expected to survive.
