In The Best Friends Podcast, which Hugo presents together with good friend Thomas Cammaert, it was about the number of bed partners. Tim Hofman, who was a guest in the episode, was asked how many people he has had sex with. “Somewhere between twenty and 25”, the presenter replies. “I’ve had three relationships, long ones. When I was single, I sometimes did it with people. I thought that was fun.” Thomas then tells that he has had fifty bed partners.

“But we don’t have to attach a value judgment to that, do we?” asks Tim next. “Nothing is much.” Hugo picks up on that. “You do find something a lot, he says. Four hundred plus for example.” Co-presenter Thomas asks somewhat surprised whether Hugo has really had more than four hundred bed partners. “Yeah, for sure,” he says decisively. “Aren’t you broken?” Thomas asks afterwards. “Let’s move on,” said Hugo.
Hugo is currently engaged to Sander Bos, with whom he has been together for years. The two have an open relationship, but have recently been in a slump. “Every relationship has ups and downs and we are in a down for a while,” Hugo told the podcast This Will Never Be Alright. “There are so many things that are taboo around and you can only break that in one way: by saying it. I hope we get out. Really bad,” said Hugo. “I really like this boy.”
